Biomaterials Graduate Fellowships
Nominations are invited for Biomaterials Graduate Fellowships at Syracuse University. The Fellowships are made available through the newly formed Syracuse Biomaterials Institute (SBI). Eligible students are Syracuse University doctoral candidates in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Physics working on a dissertation project in the area of biomaterials. Interdisciplinary projects are of particular interest for this program. Applying students must have completed all the required courses for the Ph.D. and must have passed the qualifying exam in their home department, as applicable.

All materials should be sent electronically by the nominating advisor to Ms. Karen Low at kplow@syr.edu. Questions can be directed to Prof. Mather at ptmather@syr.edu. The deadline for the receipt of complete nominations is November 16, 2007. Awards will be announced by December 3, 2007. Members of underrepresented groups and women are especially encouraged to apply.

- A nominating letter by the research advisor,
- The student's CV and transcript, and
- One-page description of the proposed research
- Simple budget describing the department-specific RA (stipend) level.
